Or alternatively perhaps somebody could tell me the number of any bus that goes up London road a fair distance, and I could give it a swift scan.
Cheers

Bond, In the current covid situation you should be staying away from people as much as possible, especially avoiding confined spaces such as buses. You've got to be careful with your health issues. We all love you lots and wouldn't want anything to happen to you. This is the current situation in Luton "768 cases per 100,000 people in the latest week 27 Dec-2 Jan. The average area in England had 518".

Gale thank you for all that Orange writing, I followed the instructions and have written to My MP, turns out that I know her from the Brickies, we all used to drink up there although I'm not sure she will remember me.

Righto Tassie. I was at Power Court Yesterday for about an hour or so I guess. Not a single lorry left site in that time, but the excavator was very busy. there are 5 different piles of stuff of varying grades, but one huge pile of boulders which looked to be part of one of the main bases given the thickness of the stuff, waiting to be taken away or put through the hard core machine I guess. Some new steel has arrived in Grey Primer instead of the usual black steel which is obviously temporary stuff. The new stuff were sections, and pre drilled in many places, but I must stress it was just a part load. The mobile conveyor belt was not running but was being worked on and had changed position since My last visit, now running parallel with the road St. Marys church is on. Once again the road layout has been altered which I assume to be the Norm on a Brownfield site, on this particular bit of road however I did spot 5 Huge containers full of scrap re-bar, ready and waiting to be weighed in, as the weighbridge is still operational. What looked like the gantry for the main section of the large crane has appeared, the walkway that goes around the top of the crane, before the final boom section. Oh and the Workers cabins/offices are now up in the air on legs, and it looks suspiciously like a security cabin is being set up, Site access and permits and all that good stuff. I don't envisage much of a change in the next week or so Tass so I will go back in a couple of weeks unless of course I spy something from the Bus on My way into town. Big Cheer for the Lads Tonight Tass. Take Care Curlz...

Greetings all. Almost two years since any updates ? With all the Covid delays, two winters passing and the temporary knitted pitch at Kenilworth Road, I’m wondering WTF is happening or rather not happening ! Any one got any real news, please ?

Hello again! It’s been a hectic couple of weeks hasn’t it, with some amazing performances from the highs of gaining points with last minute equalisers to the lows of dropping points the same way, a battling performance that deserved more away to the league leaders and the stunning five-star, five-goal show against Coventry!
Although it was then frustrating to draw with Huddersfield, we can see that teams are beginning to fear coming to Kenilworth Road again…and rightly so. Our ground and the atmosphere we generate in it has been a real asset for years and that’s something everyone hopes we can take with us when we move to the promised land of Power Court.
Before I move on to that subject, just a quick word regarding the controversy about unacceptable chants. You’ll have seen, and hopefully read our official statement about that, supporting the club’s own statement. There really is no place for that sort of unpleasant nonsense, and if you know people who join in with it, perhaps now is a good time to gently raise the subject and help them see sense. In most instances it is probably a case of people simply not thinking. We’re building something very special as a club at Luton, and we all have our part to play.
Tell us more, then tell us even more!
Speaking of building, everyone of course wants to know where we’re up to with Power Court and Newlands Park – the message that comes through loud and clear from our supporter survey is “Tell us more, then tell us even more!’ so it was great to get an update from CEO Gary Sweet in his first programme notes of the season, when we played Sheffield United.
In a nutshell, Gary confirmed that plans are progressing well and that all is on track – despite the obvious effects of the pandemic and associated ‘behavioural changes’, which have led to some aspects of the plans for Newlands Park, Power Court and the surrounding public realm having to be redesigned. Funding is of course paramount, and key commercial partnerships are being put in place. In practical terms, 2020 are now getting into the detailed planning stage.
We’d all like to know more of course (hence the mantra – “tell us more, then tell us even more!”) but it’s important to remember that planning, partnerships and finance are all areas where commercial sensitivity means that some things can’t be openly discussed until finalised. All of us with experience in business know how paramount that is, so although we’re hungry for more info and can’t wait to see construction begin, we just need to be patient. I don’t think any of us find that easy of course, because we’re so excited about it all. But to anyone who has doubts, and I know there are some, take my word for it – it’s happening!
Power to the people…and to our club and town!
Going back to the survey, a whopping 97% of respondents believed that Power Court will help to regenerate Luton town centre. That’s even more important now as the pandemic – and online shopping, - has changed the way retail and many other aspects of our lives work. At both Newlands Park and Power Court the club has the advantage of being able to build from scratch to suit the ‘new normal’ – making the future even more promising for our beloved LTFC, and for the town.
I’ll be in touch again within a few weeks, after the international break. I’d like to leave you with a question though – in those few weeks, how many new managers do you think Watford will have had? Have fun. I don’t know about you, but I’m seeing a potentially great team taking shape and this little break might give some of the injured players time to get back to full fitness. That’s another exciting thought…. Premier League football at Power Court. Oh yes!
Forza PC. Forza NP. Forza 2020. Forza LTFC. COYH!

The Council Planning Committee have just (literally) approved the redesign of part of the Power Court plans (not the stadium, which is coming later, but part of the residential and some other bits). One step nearer...
