This is more than about a stadium and securing the long term future of the club, it's 10,000 jobs, a huge boost to the economy and image of the town, two hotels, music venue, offices, high end retail, leisure, play area, creche, the regeneration of Bury Park when the club leaves Kenilworth Road and the opening up of the river in the town centre. The owners of the Mall, Capital and Regional oppose it because they think it will hurt their shareholders. Half a dozen shareholders (who have no affiliation with the town) should not get in the way of progress in Luton.
Your donations will go towards getting our message - 1. to the people of Luton educating them on the situation and 2. to conduct a "we shall not be held to ransom" campaign against Capital and Regional.
For example, when we went to Capital and Regional's AGM last month, we had to pay the train fare of the person attending on our behalf - early start. The rest of us went in a hired mini bus. We all gave our time for free but the train fare and mini bus had to be paid for. We got great coverage within the Financial sector which embarrassed C&R. There have been some great ideas put forward so let's fund them.

Gale and everyone, a message from Lauren Happy for you to reply on my behalf - I'm a Lutonian first and foremost, but also a Luton Town supporter. My background is in journalism and I used to work for the Luton on Sunday and was the sport reporter covering the Hatters at one point. My desire to create a campaign came from recognising that there needed to be something independent that demonstrated support from the whole of the town, and not just from those who support the football club. I've been working with LLSC and LTSC very closely. Let me know if you need anything else!

Donated. Done my little bit.
If you can, please do likewise other Hatters. It is essential we keep up the fight against an enemy (C&R) and get these two developments approved.

Well done to those who have contributed. If anyone has any questions/doubts about the campaign or the crowd funding please set them out and I will reply. Are Australian dollars acceptable and if so how ? Not sure. The icon says you can only pay in GBP. I paid by credit card so I'm guessing you could pay that way too. If so, bear in mind a possible poorer exchange rate than usual and maybe some additional charges too. Alternatively, get someone in the UK to pay and sort it out with them later.

PayPal the money to someone with a UK bank account if you have PayPal and then they can donate it for you?

If you have a paypal account, Hatter28 is the answer. He does the sponsorship collecting on here through his paypal account and have asked him to post the details of how.
