Just been chatting with Bryan up here in Whitby about the options for centre back if Sheehan is ruled out, only four days since his head injury which seemed a nasty one.
We have four experienced centre backs two of which could be out for a couple of weeks, Rea and Cuthbert, and one with a nasty gash on his head. So that just really leaves Mullins and hopefully a patched up Sheehan.
If Sheehan can't be patched up then I guess it's Famewo or Musonda. In that circumstance would NJ stay brave retaining Justin and having two real youngsters in the defence?
Could be interesting!

Every reason to keep Justin at right back as he was one of the best players on Saturday. As for the centre back issue, I would go for Frankie and Mullins. I do have a feeling though, that Smudger will figure in there somewhere, experienced and hard as they come. Just one to bear in mind Jj can play centre half as well....

I would keep Justin in; just don't rate SOD much.
As for who plays if Sheehan is unfit? I would be happy with Frankie or Famewo with Famewo getting the edge as he really attacks the ball in the air.
Happy enough for Jones to be brave if need be and play the two young defenders Justin & Famewo/Frankie in the same line up.

On another site I alluded to NJ reminding me of Alec Stock (ie a bit bonkers)you have reminded me that Stocky was the man who brought Super Mac to Luton and did the conversion. Lets hope young JJ is as succesful as MM, and NJ as good as AS.

With reference to NJ being like AS, I can't remember Alec jumping up and down like Nathan was on Saturday but there you go, perhaps the old brain is not as sharp as it used to be. However, I shall start to worry about their likeness when i see NJ wearing those pale blue socks with brown shoes every match day.

The one thing it omits is he has played a còmmanding role for our Youth at centre back. ( James Ashby, Beds Police ). Just in case you try and pull a stunt on me.  |
