Our last five games are against more lowly teams so very much in with a chance of some points. Tomorrow we take on Thomas Franks Bee's at Kenilworth Road, he was very appreciative of our manager and players and is expecting a torrid time come 3 pm. Again no great news of returning players from injury so will have to make do with the heroes who have done so well stepping up. COYH!! Brentford Trivia Keyboard star Rick Wakeman has been a Bs supporter for many years, first game as a child going with his dad. At one point in the past he nearly bought the club, also holding the position of vice chairman for some time. Hope you can see Riks head when you click on image!π

Not everyone knows this:
In the all-time highest level league table in England Luton are in 41st position with 725 points and Brentford are in 51st position with 306 points. Luton have spent 16 seasons at this level and Brentford 8. Luton total gate is 4,505,018 with an average of 13,693 while Brentford is 3,214,811 with an average of 22,325. So we must be favourites today

Wasn't that penalty fiasco a disgrace, I knew a boy up the rec who would take his ball home if things didn't go his way, but he was only ten!

Well, the day started well at 14.00 with the team announcement of the 3 returning players, Mengi, Lokonga and Osho. Pity it all didn't end there. One word to describe the Luton performance today? mine would be lethargic.
Totally outplayed for 90 unhappy minutes by a genuine Premier League team.
Any good points, well nearly. Barkley and Lokonga had some nice touches and passes but they didn't actually achieve anything. Morris was his combatant self but he sadly misses his strike partner Adebayo and the threat in the opponent's penalty area from dead balls is virtually non-existent.
If a man of the match is relevant then it must go to Berry for a well taken goal. Other than that there was a good performance from Chong and it was a surprise when he was substituted.
You got that one wrong Rob, better try next week.
PS - Joe Taylor scored again.

The wheels came off in some style yesterday and predictably Brentford were the grateful and wholly deserving beneficiaries. Quite why we were so abject only those in the dressing room will know - maybe the return of players was a late and ill planned decision? Maybe there was an argument about it? The final twist to this season may now be Burnley finishing above us and nicking survival at the expense of either Forest or Everton. Hoping to be at Molineux to see a miracle next weekend - COYH!

We were poor and disorganised. Too many changes all at once with, I suspect, too little prep time for the team as a team. We can't be that bad again. I'm going to Wolves game so I hope we are back to our combative selves.

At this stage of the season I guess the only way to get back players who've been out for a while is to stick them in - by easing them back in the games would run out. Hopefully it pays off.
Plus it was Brentford, and that rarely goes well. And luckily Forest have provided the sideshow to take everyone's mind off things...
