Here are the results of the Bobberman Cup semi-finals
Very few points were scored as no-one predicted much correctly at all! Biscot Boy in fact has the distinction of being the only one to achieve any points whatsoever, with 2 for a correct half-time score, and with Ashfordhatter sadly unable to fulfil the fixture, that’s enough to take him into the final. Somethinggood and Maggiechow played out a 0-0 draw, Somethinggood winning on penalties by being slightly closer to the ever-changing Kenilworth Road capacity.
Going out of a competition in the semi-finals is particularly gutting, so commiserations to the losers, especially Maggie for being so close to going through.
The results are:
somethinggood 0* maggiechow 0
*somethinggood goes through on closest attendance prediction
biscot boy 2 Ashfordhatter 0
So former-winner Biscot Boy and first-time finalist Somethinggood will contest the final, which will be played on the Hatters' Premier League game at home to Brentford. This is currently due to be at 3pm on Saturday 20th April, but I believe we’re still awaiting the TV picks for that round of fixtures so there’s the possibility that it could move. I’ll update this post if it does, but keep your eyes open. Whenever it kicks off, your deadline for predicting will be one hour before. And I will remind you both nearer the time! EDIT: Kick-off 3pm, deadline therefore confirmed as 2pm
Biscot Boy and Somethinggood, you are welcome to post your prediction on this thread at any time between now and the deadline. If one or both of you prefers, you may instead send me your prediction by PM, and I will post it on the thread once both predictions have been made.
Whichever method you choose, your prediction should as usual include full-time score, half-time score, 3 scorers plus one reserve scorer, and your attendance prediction, to be used as a penalty shoot-out to settle the tie in the event of a draw.
Best of luck to you both!
