The last time we played in the 5th Round of the FA Cup was against Millwall back in 2013. We'd beaten Norwich in the 4th round as a non league side but Millwall was a game to far and we lost 3-0. So a decade on we find.ourselves in the EPL and up against the European champions.......still find it hard to believe. COYH!  |

"You are a kite dancing in a hurricane" A line from a Bond film springs to mind perhaps. Prefer that to "Bob Hope or no hope". Luton reserves vs City reserves possibly, who knows but it would be nice to get to Wembley.

Embarrassing or what? City obviously operate on a different planet than us and as the commentator mentioned, £240 million on the bench against Luton's 2 million.
Any Luton positives, yes obviously Clark's brace and I thought young Johnson looked assured and our new signing Hashioka showed promise.
I'm looking forward to Saturday and hoping that our defence are as well.

Just our luck that De Bruyne returns to his superlative best and combines seamlessly with an almost unplayable Haaland and we answer that by selecting Krul. Great game from Clicker, back to his best. And Johnson still 17yrs old? - what a prospect.

For the last few matches there has been a massive 30 yard hole in between midfield and defence, regardless of who has played in midfield. In particular Man.City and Man.Utd have exploited this and the result is that they are able to play through balls directly from defence to their forwards in a central position. This has exposed our defenders into countless one to one situations throughout the game without any cover whatsoever.This has resulted in any mistake, which is inevitable being punished severely.
Like all of our supporters I think RE has done an excellent job and long may that continue. However he has stood by and persisted with the same tactics without trying to remedy the situation. Did he honestly think that Mengi could handle Haaland without any cover? Our back 3 play quite far apart making through balls much easier for the opposition. With a back 4 the two central defenders would be closer together and be able to cover each other more easily. I just hope he addresses the situation for the Villa match.

I agree BB if he won't play 4 at the back play Osho of Mengi in the defensive midfield position (If Osho fit) thats if Lokonga not back. Villa have the midfield and strikers to hurt us as much as Utd,Liverpool and City did and we desperately need to pick up points soon.

We are clearly missing Marvellous and whilst Lokonga does good stuff he's not quite the same sort of player so a change of tactic is needed.
