We welcome the Magpies to Kenilworth Road tomorrow afternoon they've got a few injury problems which has affected their league position after a flying start.
Our first home game since the drama at Bournemouth so expect an emotional 90 mins with chanting and the unfurling of the Tommy Flag.

Magpies Trivia.      Found a programme from 1975 showing Malcolm McDonald playing at centre forward. It would have been his first game back at Kenilworth Road since his move to the North East in 1971.
We won the fixture 1-0 with a goal from Ron Futcher let's hope for similar tomorrow!

In terms of days since last played in the Football League, it's only Barrow that the Hatters have been waiting longer to play again - the last meeting coming in Feb 1970.

Interesting regarding Barrow had to look at the League to see where they were, doing very well second in Div 2 with five wins from last five games. Nice to see after years in the doldrums.

Sackcloth and ashes for me. I gave them no chance and we got a full on, in your face superb performance. What do I know.

The sponsors Man of the Match was Andros Townsend who gave 100 percent for 90 minutes but for me Osho and especially Mengi were superb. Mengi being the signing of the century. And Man United let us have him and kept Maguire. Unbelievable.

Also I've got to mention Pelly's late appearance and the minutes of added time he gobbled up with his strength holding the ball up at the Kenilworth Road corner flag which is where the full time whistle was blown.

What great fighting performance today against a Newcastle side who have one of the worst former Luton managers on their coaching staff; remember the Izzy Brown quote and the interview post Brentford when Potts got thrown under the bus?
But turning to our players performances, in defence Osho and Mengi were really outstanding. A great aspect of their game is the combination of reading the game, pace and the ability to move out of defence with the ball.
In the middle of the field Barkley was class and Sammy Lokonga was also showing that once settled he will be a class member of our squad.
Alfie is Alfie & gave his usual high energy performance.
Thinking of the future, I just hope that the likes of Osho, Mengi and Alfie are on very long term contracts with Little Luton.
Have to say the Newcastle fans were absolute class; look at that Tommy banner they displayed.
