We’ve received an invitation to the Player Sponsors Open Training Session to be held at the Brache on Monday 23rd October 2023 from 10.30am – 1.00pm. There will be the chance to watch training, followed by photo and autograph opportunities with Rob Edwards and the players after the session. We have one place as a result of our sponsorship of Gabe Osho, and our attendee will also have the option to bring a guest.
The date is during half term, which is worth bearing in mind if you have a young person you think might like to go with you. We are warned that the time may be subject to change if there are any alterations to training, but the date should hopefully be safe!
If you would be interested in taking up our place, please let me know by PM or by post on this thread, asap please, and definitely no later than next Monday (9th Oct), to give me a chance to submit names to the Club by their deadline later in the week. Please also indicate whether or not you might want to bring a guest. If there is interest from more than one contributor, I’ll use my random name picker to make the final choice.
Thanks, all!

So, I was a bit too cocky in assuming the date would be safe . In fact, due to a change in the training schedule, it's now going to be on Tuesday 24th October. All other details are (currently!) the same. I'll PM all those who've already expressed an interest to make sure they've seen this and would still be able to make the new date. In case the change of date means that others are now interested, I'll extend my deadline for responses to 9pm tomorrow (Tuesday 10th October). I can't really go any later than that because of the need to get the names in to the Club. Cheers, everyone

OK, thanks to buzzhatter for doing the draw for me and selecting number 7, one of the numbers I'd assigned to horshamhatter. Horsham is therefore the chosen attendee, with whom I'll be in touch imminently

Just a few notes on the Training Session on Tue.
The session was fantastic and me and my wife really enjoyed it. The club were really good and after watching the generic training sessions, the players came over to talk to everyone. The training looked very good and the players were taking it very seriously but enjoying it very much.
Had a good talk at start from Adrian Forbes re the Academy and their objectives.
Jordan Clark was training and in conversation afterwards said that he is well on in training but realistically he is probably 2-3 weeks from returning, so maybe the Man U game he is hoping.
Gabe was not present as was likely preparing for the Notts County fixture later that day.
Was impressed with the way the players spoke to those present with respect but also showing how pleased they all are and how well they get on.
Pelly and Chico are the comedians, and Taith was really good talking to a chap who had some problems, and helped him get a ball out of a tree and then signed it and said its yours.
Had a chat with Alfie Doughty and Eli and Ross as well as Amari, also saw Lockyer, Isa, Jacob all really good and down to earth. Did not see Morris, Woodrow , Berry or Makamba. Or Reece Burke or Mats and no news on him. Kaminski is a really nice guy and made some good saves as was Tim Krull and James Shea.
Rob Edwards was brilliant to speak with and spent ages with everyone. He even got a ball for the kids to play with at the start and then fetched a five a side goal for the kids from the other side of the ground. Lockyer at end of session went in the kids goal and played with the kids.
Also the staff at Venue 360 really good, where we also met some other sponsors who were going to the event.
Really recommend it if you get the chance.

Forgot to mention both Townsend and Barkley looked very sharp in the close passing and moving training, particularly Barkley who looked very good and seemed to have more time than most of the others.
