A bit of a shot in the dark at this stage as we’ve not had the details of the kit sponsorships for the coming season, but I’ve been encouraged to launch the drive for contributions in anticipation that we will be able to renew our sponsorship of Gabe Osho’s home shirt. I do have a plan B if the Premier League price increase turns out to be beyond us, but posters on this message board and its predecessors have a proud and unbroken tradition of sponsoring a player’s kit going back to at least the Conference years, so fingers crossed we succeed in carrying on.
Although we don’t yet know the prices for the new season (and I’ll update this post when we do), last year we paid £1000 so I’m certainly expecting it to be higher. The benefits of a sponsorship are generally along the lines of:
Update: this season's price is £1000 +VAT (therefore an increase on last season's price which was inclusive of VAT) meaning we need to raise £1200. The benefits listed are:
• Training ground visit
• Signed photo of player
• One ticket for the annual the end of season dinner
• Signed matchworn shirt
also
• Namecheck in the home match day programme
• PA recognition for home goals and substitutions
• Website recognition on the player profile
• LED exposure pre-match, half-time and post-match
Everyone who contributes to the sponsorship has an equal chance of being the person drawn out to enjoy one of the benefits. Here is how it all panned out for the season just gone.
Anyone and everyone who’d like to be involved is welcome – past contributors and new ones (we could really do with a few new ones!), regular posters, Bobberman players and lurkers. Everyone contributes as much as they can afford - £10, £25, £50 or even more… It all helps us reach the total we need.
How to contribute
1) BACS: If you alert me by post on this thread or by PM, I will send you my details to enable you to make a bank transfer (to an infrequently-used account of mine which is very useful for this purpose!)
2) PayPal: If you have a PayPal account, you can make a contribution via hatter28’s PayPal account markstephenson237@hotmail.com. When making your payment, select the “family or friends” option to avoid PayPal charging any fees.
3) Cash: If you attend matches, you’re welcome to give me the money in person. Let me know and I’ll make sure our paths cross.
4) Cheque: In a change to what we used to do, this would need to be made out to me (rather than the Club), so I can pay our invoice electronically. If this is your preferred method, please let me know and I will PM you my name and address details.
If you’ve transferred or posted things to me previously and still have those details, I can confirm that none of them have changed.
So, let's see how we get on! Thanks, everyone!
