Definitely our last match of season 2022/23 against the Sky Blues at Wembley Stadium tomorrow. And what a season it's been, win or lose the match seems to have captured the imagination of the world. I've seen reports from Melbourne Australia, USA and Nigeria even BBC Look East put much of their 6.30pm programme over the Town. Luton Town v Coventry City so much better than Sunderland v Middlesbrough! Hope to bump into many Fools and friends tomorrow on Wembley Way. COYH!!

I will be watching from afar. I hope everyone has a fantastic day and enjoys the atmosphere, the occasion, and takes just a minute at some time before the end to just remember where we were, where we were sent to, the pergatory of those years in the National League, and where we are now. Win, lose or draw - the club has done something that is special. It should be made into a movie ..... and the ending will either be .......... ?? Best of luck to all the players. Enjoy your day on the green! COYH.

Hi all! Brighton fan (in peace) here. I'd like to welcome you to the Premier League and congratulate you on your fabulous journey. You may be aware that we embarked on a very similar journey, many years ago, and just avoided the drop into non-league football. Like you, it's been a long hard slog to get here, and I genuinely wish you well for next season - except against us, obviously. I'm sure your ground will put the willies up some of the big guns - a great advantage to have. We won't mind though, as only a decade or so ago, we were playing at the Withdean 'stadium' (I use the term 'stadium' loosely). Anyway, I enjoyed your game yesterday and cracking penalties, too. Best wishes to your captain - a sad way to miss out on the celebrations, but as long as he makes a speedy recovery, that's the main thing. See you in a few months. UTA

Thanks for your post and for taking the trouble to register in order to post. As a reciprocal slap on the back, I've enjoyed Brighton's success this season and truly competing with the big boys.

What a thrill, a real edge of your seat job with nervous tension in abundance, especially for periods in the second half. Justice was done with the third best team in the division gaining the prize. Having said that, Coventry are justified in feeling a tad disappointed and it came down to probably nervous tension from their final penalty taker.
Now waiting for our season ticket renewal and expecting us Golden Oldies having to fork our a few extra bob. Oh well, you can't take it with you.

Besides being a fantastic day wasn't it nice that the two sets of fans mingled with no problem. Quite glad it wasn't Millwall.

Terrific win! I'd like to mention Joe Taylor who came on potentially scored the winner (with no VAR) and then had the guts to take our second penalty and score. Happy for the young 20 year old, Mick must have seen some potential.

As we all slowly come to terms with the enormity of all things yesterday, the culmination of a magnificent run in recent seasons, we’ll all be reflecting on players, managers, memorable games or events and even sadly some of our Hatter friends who are no longer with us.
Just wanted to share one angle on our success, that of all things Dan Potts. In May 2019, I attended the end of season dinner with much to celebrate - we were Champions of League One. That season Justin had kept Potts out of the side and Dan was restricted to a handful of appearances from the bench, but often at key points in a game. Without fail, he delivered by fitting straight into things, maintaining his fitness levels and almost duplicating JJ’s pace and skill. I spoke briefly to Dan at the dinner and congratulated him on his season - he looked somewhat doubtful at first but I insisted my remarks were genuine and that I had been so impressed with his patience, consistency and commitment when coming off the bench on a relatively small number of occasions but always delivering. He rightly looked very pleased with himself.
Yesterday we all watched him calmly step up to take penalty number six, again after the briefest of spells on the pitch, in the knowledge that if he did score, it would put intolerable pressure on the next Coventry penalty taker. Dan dutifully delivered, the unfortunate Dabo blazed over and we were in the Premiership.
Forgive the length of this offering but I think it sums up the spirit and commitment present in our club and the importance of all the contributions that came to fruition yesterday.

UTA Brighton's journey is exactly the sort of model we should be aspiring to. This season both we and Brighton had managers and coaching staff snatched away mid-season by "bigger" clubs who'd looked around the sweet shop and helped themselves to what they fancied, just because they could afford to. Both of us are so well run that we were prepared for that to happen, able to replace what was taken away and carried on, barely missing a beat and arguably improving. Meanwhile the rich clubs both decided what they'd taken wasn't what they wanted after all and spat them out again with them having had no positive impact on their seasons. Definitely lessons there..
