When we played the Millers at home just before the World Cup break, I started the "Fred" with "a weeks a long time in politics and football"
Big Mick had taken over for the game with the news that NJ was going to Southampton and there were rumours that RE would be our new manager.
We were losing to Rotherham 0-1 until up steps Berry and scores the equaliser in the 90th minute.
Tomorrow will be my first visit to Rotherhams relatively new ground I will ask others to maybe explain why it's called the New York Stadium? COYH!!

The name was said to be inspired by the Guest and Chrimes company which previously occupied the site for nearly 150 years. Legend says they made red fire hydrants for New York City, although there is no physical evidence of this.

Wasn't Rotherham Big Mick's first managers job yes and no bernard. He was caretaker manager at Nottingham Forest in the 2004-05 season according to wiki. |

I was not entertained. Awful game but who cares when it more or less guarantees our play-off spot.
The only bit worth talking about was the penalty, as I recall Woodrow missed one at Hitchin in the pre-season friendly and his initial kick was about the same standard.
Name a Man of the Match, I really haven't a clue. Oh, and did anybody else suffer the dreadful ifollow service today?

The factory is still next to the ground, spoke to two Miller fans and they said the ground was called that after the NY fire hydrant. As for the game we were never under any pressure. Just seen stats which have us above Burnley for the last ten games! Would be interesting to see when we last went ten games undefeated. COYH!! |

Barring utter calamity, it will very soon start to be about who will play who and in what order in the play offs. Read that Morris limped off, Edwards said ‘precautionary’, v much hope that’s true.
