Here are the results of the Bobberman Cup semi-finals. It’s always gutting to miss out at the semi-final stage, so huge commiserations to the losers and equally big congratulations to the 2 finalists.
In a hard-to-predict game, Jeros emerged as the round’s top scorer with both half-time and full-time scores spot on. Bloodorange also got the full-time score right to enable him to win his tie. Sphatter and Biscot Boy may consider they were undone by the dodgy penalty just as much as the team were, as both had gone for the win and without it they would both have outscored their opponents! Unsurprisingly, no-one got any scorer points, but they wouldn’t have changed anything in 2 ties where the victories were decisive.
The results are:
sphatter 1 jeros 7
bloodorange 5 biscot boy 0
So Jeros and Bloodorange will contest the final, which will be played on our Championship game at home to Middlesbrough. This is currently due to be at 3pm on Saturday 22nd April, but as Sky haven’t announced their TV picks for that weekend, there’s the possibility (quite a high one, I’d think) that it could move. I’ll update this post if it does, but stay alert! Whenever it kicks off, your deadline for predicting will be one hour before.
As predicted by me, this match has been moved for TV and is now an 8pm kick-off on Monday 24th April, so your deadline for predicting will be 7pm.
Jeros and Bloodorange, you are welcome to post your prediction on this thread at any time between now and the deadline. If one or both of you prefers, you may instead send me your prediction by PM, and I will post them on the thread once both predictions have been made.
Whichever method you choose, your prediction should as usual include full-time score, half-time score, 3 scorers plus one reserve scorer, and your attendance prediction, to be used as a penalty shoot-out to settle the tie in the event of a draw.
Best of luck to you both!
