Back to winning ways on Saturday but with two or three worrying injures, so Morris, Burke and Potts potential casualties. On the bright side Lockyer is back from suspension. Millwall and us are slugging it out fighting to keep our top six status, if we play like we did on the weekend we've a good chance of points. COYH!! I was at this match at the Den, went with two mates and had to stand through a 4-0 defeat surrounded by Dockers and at the same time having to celebrate every time the Lions scored!

And you had to fork out 5p for the programme! Bit nervous about tonight given the absence of Morris and Burke and the certainty of bumping into Millwall fans in the coming days.Years ago I smuggled a Lions supporter into the Kenilworth and watched in horrer as Neil Harris walked through our defence and nonchalantly slid the ball into the net after only a few minutes.
Be great if Elijah chooses tonight to do the same thing before the ball lands on Cooper's arm in the penalty area and he's sent off as we score our second. COME ON LUTON!

I was at that 4-0 tanking in 1970-71 too shatter. My first of 5 Den visits. I never saw us win there, but I have seen us victorious twice in 5 visits to the New Den.

Home visiting nurse has just given me the ok to attend tonight because I'm being collected from my door, taken straight to the Millennium Corporate Suite, then straight back home post match by my cousin Ken.
I want to take any chance of the time I have left in this world of going to as many matches I can this season.
I'm afraid I don't hold a great record here vs the Lions. In 24 Kenilworth Road clashes from 1969 - 2022 ...........it's 7 Town wins, eight draws and 9 defeats. Be nice to round that up tonight to: 8,8,9.

2 - 2, never expected that especially when Edwards took off Pelly and then lost a centre half to be replaced by the Ghost. What do I know, it's a funny old game.
Millwall should feel extremely happy with a point which was not deserved and I imagine that the possession stats are very much in Luton's favour.
Two good penalty calls and their second goal would have been disallowed with VAR but that's the way the cooky crumbles. Man of the Match for me, definitely not Horvath.

We did so well last night in coming back from a two-goal deficit and could even have taken all three points had that Carlton Morris header just been a touch lower.
Within the game of football, I am not a fan of VAR but had it been in operation last night then the second Millwall goal would have been ruled out & we would have also been awarded a penalty for that foul on Clarke in the first half.
Turning to Hovarth, I don’t think at all that he is a bad keeper, just simply an average performer capable of making some decent saves and at times prone to errors; not just last night but also recently against WBA where we had a mix of some good saves and errors. Overall Hovarth has done well this season & has a decent understanding with the numerous permutations of defenders in front of him. Whilst on goalkeepers, I don’t understand the Harry Isted thing; seems that Barnsley supporters rate him but I guess we have to bow to the superior knowledge of our goalkeeping coaches who see the players in action every day.
I thought overall we played some decent football, last night and credit to RE as iMO we are now playing a far more attractive style of football than earlier in the season/last season. We could of course do with a van load of centre-backs as we just get through them at such a rate: Bradley (nearly ready to start?), Burke is class but very injury prone, will he be available for Saturday? Potts, is he out for long? Then we have the rapidly emerging star Osho who picked up an injury last night; hope he is fit for Saturday.
Overall I am a happy hatter in terms of our progress this season.

First, I hope you enjoyed the game, Loyal. Secondly, I managed to keep, if not exactly warm, then comfortable, thanks to many layers (I looked like the Michelin man!). And finally, the game. Yes, Horvath made a mistake but I thought for the remainder of the game he had his best game in a Luton shirt. I still don't really rate him; I can see why he was third choice at Forest. As to Istead, his mum told someone I know that "someone in the Club doesn't like him" nodding, at the time, towards the stands not the bench. Who knows? I liked him and wish him well at Barnsley. In contrast I thought Morris had his worst game in a Luton shirt; I was struggling to see one good pass when he'd got himself into a midfield position but I'll forgive him because of the injury on Saturday! For me Doherty was MoM; he never stopped running, and usefully too. I don't know why Pelly was substituted. He wasn't having a great game but not a bad one either. I hope he's not injured. Refereeing poor and we would have won if he'd seen the off side and the pens. but that's the rub of the green as they say.

Get that van loaded ASAP - it's starting to look like a repeat of last season when we limped into the play-offs with 3 and a half fit first choice players. Massive credit to all for overturning the unjust two goal defecit, I confess that I had given up on getting anything at 80 mins when Millwall had their best spell and we looked beaten. In common with many of the play-off competing sides, Millwall paraded an array of apparently solid, pacy and skillful substitutes as if to emphasise the superiority of their squad. But somehow, our battling players found a way through, both goals from us involving considerable finishing skill. A win on Saturday would be most welcome with the imminent challenge of the Blades away and the Giants From The Allotments at KR soon after. Up the Hatters!

I managed to get back to the station at the same time as the Millwall fans and their police escort so they were all on my train (no bother where I was though I think one or two further down the train may have been kicked out at Harpenden ). Overhearing the chat near me, they thought they'd probably be back for the play-offs. Given the difficulty of our upcoming matches, they're a little more optimistic about our chances than I am, but I'd certainly take it.
