Spike Bobberman Cup 4th Round results

Please find below the results of the quarter-finals of the Spike Bobberman Cup. The usual congratulations and commiserations as appropriate .

There were some very close ties in this round; plenty of correct results but no correct full-time scores, and almost everyone having Morris ast their scorers, meant that half-time predictions became quite important. Only the Battle of Biscot Road (© Shatter) was decided by a margin of more than 1 point, with Shatter’s gamble of going for the differential of a draw and a different set of scorers failing to pay off and leaving Biscot Boy as the only former winner still in the competition.

Somethinggood also went for the draw but a correct half-time score meant her defeat by Jeros was a narrower one. Greenwoman couldn’t make it a trio of giant-killings and her excellent cup run comes to an end at the hands of Sphatter. While in the remaining tie Bloodorange saw off Bernardshakey by virtue of a half-time point to complete the semi-final line-up.

Please double-check your score and let me know by PM of any discrepancies or queries by next Friday (3rd March). The Semi-finals will take place on Saturday 18th March and will be played on the Hatters' Championship game away at Sunderland. Look out for the draw and predictions thread, which will be posted a week beforehand.

Thanks Dawn it was a gamble and might have paid off if their player had scored rather than hit the bar. Fine margins but well done Sir Bob of Biscot! 😁

Dawn, I think my tie with Bloodorange ended 4-4 with Blood winning on a penalty shoot out (nearest attendance)

Bloodorange scored 1 for a correct half-time result, 3 for correct full-time result and 1 for Morris scoring, so 5 in total, but yes, would also have won any penalty shoot-out by 23

Ah sorry Dawn so a predicted half time of 1-1 counts as they were drawing even though it was 0-0

Yes, 1 point correct half-time result, 2 points if spot on with the score. Then 3 or 5 at full time the same as in the league.
