Nathan Jones takes his team back to where he would call "Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau", no I can't speak Welsh I Googled it! Jones teams very rarely lose two on the bounce so a defeat tomorrow would be very unusual. Losing is bad enough but it's the lack of goals which worry me most. Anyway a couple of wins would lighten the mood so let's start tomorrow against the Jacks! COYH!! No trivia from me again this week but if you have any nuggets go for it! Swansea new club crest for 2022/23

Baited breath awaiting LL's corrections I remember watching Terry Medwin at White Hart Lane who was part of the famous Double Team. He was born in Swansea and played for them till his move to Spurs. He's still with us aged 89! Must be one of the last Double Team alive.

This was on my to-do list for this season, to tick off the ground if for no other reason, but the rail strike has done for me .

No, I could see it from quite a while ago it wouldn't be feasible - no trains at all on GWR. I wonder how much that will affect our away attendance...

Burnley, Bristol City, Swansea and Cardiff away ALL in August - the EFL with their scheduling clearly are unaware (or care) that there is a Credit Crisis going on.
For that reason I shall be missing my first game of the season today and won't be adding to my three Swansea visits to date:
1980-81 Div 2, Swansea 2 Luton 2 (Ricky Hill 2) Att: 21,400 -
A cracking Monday evening rearranged penultimate fixture at the end of 80-81 after the original was postponed when 4 of us were in Swansea for a cracking weekender.
This was a vital promotion game in which frankly we had to win, otherwise it was down to improbable mathematics on the last day at Bolton - and it WAS!
In front of a really noisy Vetch Field crowd we suddenly were 2-0 down on 22 mins, but Town came back magnificently with a Ricky Hill pair. He was class personified that night. In truth we should have won it, only for Referee Mr Newsome to rule out a Town Raddy Antic RIP goal for offside - when David Moss was clearly running away from goal as the ball streamed into the net!
The draw meant we HAD to win at Bolton last day by 3 goals and hope/pray Swansea would lose at Preston. I DID see us win 3-0 at Burnden Park, but Swans went up by winning 2-0 at Deepdale.
1981-82 Div 1, Swansea 2 Luton 0 Att: 9,556
and this February's great Town 1-0 away win (Harry Cornick) at the Liberty Stadium. Att: 16,598. My 169th different ground old and new seeing Luton play on and the 117th different ground old and new, seeing Luton win at.

Been too busy enjoying the Gower until now - this must be the earliest I’ve arrived at a game for years. Currently watching our players warming up at the excellent Swansea.com Stadium. No apparent hamstring injuries 20 mins before k off so still time to pick up a couple. Disappointed to see Osho benched - his performance here last October was superb. Good to see Berry on bench though. Mystified by the omission of Morris - would have liked to have seen him given consistent game time, especially given his ‘undisclosed’ fee. Here’s hoping… 🤞

Absolutely elated by the win at Swansea and just watched the extended highlights. Very pleased for Morris getting off the mark with a well-taken goal and also for the long-serving Dan Potts. As NJ said, a great away performance.

Yes, a terrific way to sweep aside the gloom of the last two games and the uncertainty surrounding some of our new acquisitions. As Wimbo has remarked, the highlights will show that Morris could be a great signing for us, let’s hope the same goes for Woodrow - and thanks to Rutland and SW19 for reminding us of both their respective records in the shoutbox this week.
Some of the many highlights were - excellent organised defending from the back three of Lockyer, Potts and Burke, ably assisted by Bree and Bell - tireless creative work from Clark and Campbell - Muswe gaining in confidence and experience, Adebayo continuing to look sharper and faster, Freeman looking a really great reliable acquisition. - NJs willingness to use 14 players with Adebayo, Freeman and Muswe giving way at 60mins for Morris, Jerome and Osho, seemingly all planned? - Morris’ goal - he warmed up for it with an excellent effort just before - hopefully, the first of many for us
Let’s hope we can carry yesterday’s momentum into Friday night’s game against an excellent Sheffield Utd side

Well taken goal from Morris but what an excellent assist from Jerome. There were a lot of good passing moves from us yesterday. That one came after a lengthy spell of Swansea possession and pressure which we dealt with very well all game.

Agree with everything said about the win yesterday. We fully deserved the 3 points. Morris getting a goal was a big plus. That's exactly the type of goal I'd expected when we signed him. Let's hope for a few more. I'm looking forward to Friday now and have a ticket for the game.
