Following the draw at Posh we travel North to face the "Terriers" in an intriguing six pointer. Former Luton favourite Matty Pearson is injured which is a blow to Huddersfield as he's been influential in their defence this season. Both teams will be trying to capitalize on a couple of our playoff rivals dropped points. COYH!! Huddersfield Trivia. The great Herbert Chapman had huge success in the early 1920s as manager of the Terriers. Three Div One championship wins and an FA Cup win. Before being offered twice the money at Arsenal where he had even more success with his almost modern day style of football.
Chapman's famous formation not sure what it means!! The Diamond?

Incredible to have achieved all that with half his head missing too...
Am getting a bit nervy about this game. Their last five WDLLW, ours LWWDD, our GD is currently 5 better. We all want a win because we all think (meaning I think we all think) Forest are going to inflict a defeat on us next Friday. Which will mean that Good Friday will be Bad Friday. However The Mighty Hatters always suprise us so we may get a hiding tomorrow and beat Forest on Friday in which case Good Friday will become Very Good Friday. I'm sorry for Pearson but not sorry that he will be absent. Hopefully Burke and Lockyer will be available and maybe Clark and Berry?
Well done to those that are going, enjoy.

Tomorrow will be my 1,922nd Hatters match attending and 674th away game.
I sadly never made it to Huddersfield's big old Leeds Road ground. Our only fixture there in my era since 1966 was in Jan 1973 when I lived in Adelaide, Oz. Div 2, played in a snow blizzard - HTFC 1 Luton 2 (Barry Butlin, Lyon o.g) Att: just 3,871.
My three visits to their new (it will always be the McAlpine Stadium to me) ground have yet to see a Luton win.
1996 Div 1 (old Div 2) Terriers 1 Luton 0 Att: 11,950
2004 League 1 (old Div 3) Terriers 1 Luton 1 (Ahmet Brkovic) Att: 12,611
2007 League 1 (old 3) Terriers 2 Luton 0 Att: 9,028.
If we can win this key match it will be the 118th different ground old and new that I would have seen Luton victorious on.
It would also be my sixth successive away victory this season after beating Swansea 1-0, Cambridge Utd 3-0, Stoke 2-1, Coventry 1-0 and Hull 3-1.
My record away best is Seven. Last time I went in 1986-87 for a 1-0 win at Charlton (well strictly speaking Selhurst Park when they shared with C. Palace), then in 87-88 a 5-2 win at Oxford Utd, 1-0 at Wigan, 2-0 Sheff Wed, 1-0 Ipswich, 1-0 W**ford and 2-1 Hartlepool.

Chapman's famous formation not sure what it means!! The Diamond? My Dad, when he was the landlord at the Blackstock, the 'Arsenal' pub of choice, pre-war used to talk about Herbert Chapman. They lined the pints up on the bar for the rush at the end of matches. Out of interest, and why you should never drink dark mild, he had two dogs who drank from the drip trays in the cellar and it all went back into the dark mild.

My thoughts to the game (for what they're worth) I've seen us play a lot worse and win. Didn't think we played anywhere near as bad as the Social Media meltdown on Facebook displays. Said this many a time, we sadly have many fans who go mental if we do not win a game (sometimes even if we do not lose) I do know everyone is entitled to an opinion, but last night we were NOT as bad as portrayed. Having written this, it's all about fine margins. Had Adebayo scored his pen (must also admit, that was his poorest LTFC performance I've seen from him, but no way will I slate a lad who has scored 16 goals for us this season) IMO we would have had the ascendancy and might have even gone on to win 2-1 as I predicted? Until the penalty we gave the Terriers as good as we took. Pleasant overnight stay (wangled another work job to deliver a car to nearby Rochdale this morning) unfortunately my 118th different ground seeing Luton win on, will now have to wait until next season alas - wouldn't it be a minor miracle and great if it were any of the current grounds at - Arsenal, Brentford, Brighton, C. Palace, Liverpool, Man City, Man Utd, Newcastle, Southampton, Tottenham, West Ham or possibly even Huddersfield!

Agree with Loyal and Greeno from what I saw on a stream of the game. Those fans critical of current run may not have noticed other rivals are dropping points too. Most worrying was the likehood of losing both Lansbury and Pelly for at leash the next two games.
Can I remind everyone that we are fifth in the league with five games left. Yes we have many injuries but so do other teams. Forest have to lose at some point so I’ll be bold and say it will be on Friday - everything will be marvellous again and those doubting the team will rediscover their unswerving support 😀
