Getting on for 4,000 Hatters will travel to Posh tomorrow night, good on them for giving us such a generous allocation. This fixture is our game in hand on a couple of our Play Off rivals so lets make it count lads. Although they were thrashed at home on Saturday they also beat QPR away two weeks before, so not a done thing by any means. COYH!! Posh Trivia. They were founded in 1934 and first gained promotion to the Football League in 1960 replacing Gateshead. Manager Grant McCann was sacked from Hull earlier this season and returned to Posh for his second time as manager in Febuary.

If it aint bust don't fix it. Swapping Hylton for Bradley was daft and an NJ uck up that lost us 2 points. And we looked second best following it. Man of the match for me was Kioso.

Agreed, rushing Bradley back madness when not even required after being out for so long. Now thinking mustn't lose at Huddersfield to keep things in our own control.

Not a good display last night and fortunate to come away with a point after Peterborough’s late surge. We can partly excuse ourselves as key players who may have given us an edge were missing: Clark, Osho, Burke, Berry, Lockyer. In addition, Naismith still looked short of his best after his injury & Bradley was totally short of match fitness/awareness.
If I had been a scout from another club running an eye over Luton players, then it would be Bell, Kioso & Fred in my notebook. I reckon we have a great playing attitude guy in Kioso, so, let's hope NJ sorts him out a long contract.
Overall, can’t complain as we have won so many games that could easily have gone either way. Still another 6 games to go to keep the dream alive and the next two are exceptionally tough against Huddersfield & Forest

A pity that such a great atmosphere and turnout didn’t coincide with a win but unsurprising that Posh fought so hard. For once, Nathan’s terrific substitution record backfired and appeared to cost us, rather than as for most of this season, yield points.
We still have a very good chance of a top six finish. Forest in particular have an enormous number of games still to play in a very short period, our goal difference is currently the 4th best in the league and as well as some difficult games, we have some winnable ones too.
Looks like Jerome’s season may be over after he pulled up, let’s hope not, he’s been superb of late. But sone of our rivals will suffer similar misfortunes. Onwards and upwards!

Lucky to even get the one point last night, but I think some of us don't realise the amount of injuries we are suffering at the moment. Just one instance of it Danny Boy playing in mid field, and yes he stepped up to the plate scored a goal and did what Danny does best. When we were in the Conference and Div2/1 and looked at teams where we are now and thought are we ever going to get in their position? I met a long standing Luton fan last night as I queued to get out of the stadium, when I said "that wasn't too good" he replied "yes but better than losing on a wet Tuesday night in Braintree" Put the game and our current position in perspective.COYH!!

Sorry to disagree Shatter but we cannot dwell on the 'how far we've come' consolation. Otherwise we should have been dwelling on the 'look how far we've dropped' reverse argument when we were in the Conference.
In the here and now, we are in The Championship and yes, I fully agree, the club has performed unbelievable miracles both on the pitch and behind the scenes to get to this level, let alone our current position ... but that's where we now profess to play until the footballing Gods deem that we play one division up or one division down from here.
Dress it up as much as you like but last night was very poor from every aspect: team selection; tactics; players going gung-ho before we even tried to get a foothold in the match which left us too open; too little respect for the opposition's main strength (attacking); too much respect for their main weakness (defending); poor decision making (especially trying to gain free kicks and penalties by tumbling far too easily when options to continue the play and keep possession were available); poor tactical substitutions; poor personnel choices for the substitutions; poor attempts to stop what seemed to be a continuous stream of very decent crosses (Posh's crosses were of a far better quality than our own with just two exceptions, one of which created our goal.)
NJ commented that, maybe, he should have been bolder with his team selection and tactics vs Millwall. Ditto last night after taking the lead - trying to defend one goal with such a 'makeshift' defence against a team that instinctively creates chances looked so, so wrong from the moment Hylton went off and he wasn't replaced by Cornick. Their unbelievable miss from 3 yards out was merely a dress rehearsal for the eventual and inevitable equaliser - we simply didn't stop the deliveries from out wide and it was bound to catch us at some point.
Shea was fantastic form in the first half and we were only still in the game when we took the lead because our GK was MOM up to that point: that says a lot about the rest of the team and the way the game was being played but our management didn't step back try to change anything despite being pushed back in our own penalty box with few choices for any out-balls.
Without doubt, it has been a great season to date but the disruption of the international break may define our eventual finishing step. Even if we now get players back from injury, the momentum has been somewhat reined in and it may prove difficult to reignite. Missing Berry and Clark is massive (much more so than I originally believed) but the absence of Burke coupled with Lockyer is just as important at the back. The 'cobbled together' defences vs PNE and Hull coped admirably but, in those games, we were far more organised and determined down the two flanks to stop real quality crosses hurting us in the penalty box.
Still 18 points up for grabs - 9 may do it but too tight to call. We now need to hurt those around us so Huddersfield and Forest become even bigger matches than they already were.
COYH.

Totally agree Shatter. Think we last played Braintree in Feb 2013? www.lutontown.co.uk/news/2013/february/report-braintree-2-0-townInteresting to look at the league tables at the end of that season, 2012/13 – we finished 7th in the Conference. Last night’s opponents Posh finished 22nd in the Championship and were relegated. Cardiff and Hull won auto promotion to the Premiership and Palace beat Watford in the play off final. Millwall, Blackburn Rovers, Boro, Hudds, Bpool, Brum, Derby, and Forest all survived, along with Brighton, Leicester, Bolton, Charlton, Burnley, Leeds, Ipswich and Wednesday. Self evidently things haven’t gone so well since for Ipswich, Charlton, Wednesday and Bolton but they are only one league below in League One. To have come from where we were to where we are now in ten seasons is absolutely remarkable

I think injuries and pressure from sitting 3rd for a couple of weeks and suddenly everyone noticing us has scuppered us a bit. Combine the injuries with Naismith,Pelly and Bree well below their earlier form. Although Bradley is back I always think he like Hylton takes a few games to get up to sharpness. Kioso had a great game last night and credit to Hylton for the second time got accross in front of the defender to score something only Berry does. If the season finished tomorrow and we finished 7th I would be very happy having had a great season and looking forward to the next.

BMS I was at that Braintree game one of the big lows of our Conference days. I also remember a match against them at Easter time think that ended in a draw? And Bernard I think you're correct about our third place and the resulting huge media hullabaloo, although the recognition of our rise was welcome.

A staggering 75 places up the Football pyramid. Astounding. Just to clarify though bms We last played Braintree, at home on April 12th 2014. Knowing a win would clinch the Conference title and promotion. In front of a sell out 10,020 - inc 96 Braintree fans..........they spoilt the party as we lost 3-2 after finding ourselves 3-0 down on 56 mins - totally killing a fantastic carnival pre match atmosphere. Braintree were a bit of a bogey side in our 6 Conference clashes .......2 Hatters wins and Four defeats! 2012-13 saw my all time Luton attending worst experience. I was one of just 126 MAD Insane Hatters at Carlisle (out of a total of just 382) to see us thrashed 5-1 by Gateshead!
