bernardshakey: What I couldn't understand with RE's tactics was he decided defending wasn't working (fair) so switched to all out attack which left young inexperienced defenders left one on one time and time again. (Mengi and Haaland). Is there not a middle course ? May 20, 2024 9:58:48 GMT

proudhattersince74: Bernard, as RE was a defender, himself, I have been somewhat bewildered to see how poor some of our defending has been as a unit. Most players have massively improved (individually) but I think we regressed defensively (as a unit) once we lost Lockyer. May 20, 2024 12:27:32 GMT

Especially vulnerable in the first 10 minutes of 2nd halves - just when I hoped for a tight knit, compact defence ... but we regularly conceded in that period and momentum shifted.
