That's a hard one and if anyone makes a selection then most will edit it a couple or three times. I first of all thought of what genres and of what time in my life. Westerns for me and historical certainly, obviously adventure and films from novels, youth, mid-life crisis and recent. What won't feature are ones where violence, sex and loud gunfire seem to be the sole reason for the movie. Here goes:
Shane with Alan Ladd, that's the earliest film I can remember going to
20,000 leagues under the sea, the Disney version with Kirk Douglas. Sat through this at least three times.
The Magnificent Seven, Yul Brynner 1960
The Longest Day, 1962 version
Dr No, the first of many and loyal to Ian Flemming's book
The Battle of Britain, in glorious colour and but for the few . . .
Gladiator with Russel Crowe
King Arthur, 2004, obviously total fiction but no magic and nonsense
Skyfall, possibly the best Bond film
Open Range, with Kevin Costner and a shoot out to end all shootouts
and my bonus one:
Lawrence of Arabia

A few of comedy films Some Like it Hot. Pink Panther films. With Peter Sellers Life of Brian The Holy Grail Withnail and I Film comedies, as a rule, are not my favourite form of entertainment, however remember laughing my socks off at 'It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World'. Go with you with 'Pink Panther' and for that matter earlier Sellers Films, eg 'I'm Alright Jack' and your choice of 'Airplane'.

See you have a couple of what were called 'kitchen sink' dramas Tony. Lawrence Harvey, Alan Bates, Tom Bell and Richard Harris spring to mind from these films. Of your others I seem to remember that Kim Novac was considered quite a beauty. The only one I can't remember ever watching is your first, Stalking Moon.

Liz...It's a Western...A sympathetic retired army scout takes-in a white woman and her half-Apache son, not knowing that the boy's father, a murderous renegade Apache, is after them...The last 20 minutes of the film had me on the edge of my seat ! The tension was almost unbearable !!

I saw Kim Novak (now 87) star with Laurence Harvey in the film "Of Human Bondage" Talking of kitchen sink films "A Taste of Honey" with Rita Tushingham was good..

Life of Brian Young Frankenstein Monty Python and the Holy Grail Airplane Saving Private Ryan - opening scene is something else Gladiator Ben Hur Forrest Gump Full Metal Jacket Sexy Beast - just for Ben Kinglsey's performance
Notable mentions for: Avatar - fantastic animation Escape to Victory - acting that makes Eastenders look like it should receive Oscar nominations. The Great Escape - Gordon Jackson's response getting on the train still annoys me! Blazing Saddles - anarchy rules!
Oh and ANY Laurel & Hardy films
