Well, I am not wasting one moment of lockdown as I work my way through my extensive Wham's greatest hits collection, read the condensed versions of Barbara Cartland's best sellers & of course as evening reading the somniferous “My Road To The Bobberman Final & Eventual Glory” by LTFC Mick.

Rutland, let’s not give him the satisfaction of even acknowledging his (grubby) post 😀

Excellent low budget film on Netflix ‘Thunder Road’ A manic affair but a very engaging 90 minutes (same as something called a football match)

Watched Pink Floyds film from the 1988 Delicate Sound of Thunder gigs. Kicks off with "Sorrow" and that fantastic guitar riff from Dave Gilmore, who incidentally had hair back then! Found the show on Sky Arts which Virgin have been broadcasting free, how nice of them!😘

Excellent low budget film on Netflix ‘Thunder Road’ A manic affair but a very engaging 90 minutes (same as something called a football match) watched 'The Darkest Hour' on the BBC last night. Made me wonder how accurate many of the personal bits with his typist and family together with his moods were dramatised for effect. How lucky were we that the Opposition rejected Halifax and cheered Churchill's 'Fight them on the beaches' speech. Great acting and although one knew the outcome, riveting.

Yes Liz, saw it at the cinema. Gary Oldman superb as Winston, great film irrespective of any historical inaccuracies

Has anyone been watching the series where Harry Rednap is taking past England (and 1 Welsh) player for a series of games in Europe? I'm finding it fascinating.

I've seen it and I know how they feel. I played over-30s, coached and refereed in LA into my forties. I finally quit when I was still feeling stiff going to work on Wednesday mornings after the Sunday games. It's a bugger when your body won't do what your brain tells it. Re the series, I'd forgotten just how good a squad we had in those days. How the hell didn't we win anything?

I've found all the elements dealing with mental health fascinating. And looking at all the scenery made me want a summer holiday!

Tassie, I wish I had time to read this. I am looking forward to it. As I've mentioned before I'm a County Councillor and it's been full on since Covid and lockdown happened --I've learnt how to use 6 different types of video conferencing software since this all started! And I hate using a computer. I hope to get it started over the weekend, though. Keep smiling.
