The draw for this season`s group stage is as follows and would like to give my thanks to Tony Sussex and Jean for doing the draw for me.
GROUP A...MogHatter (P)...SouthernHatter (C)...PunkyJohn (1)...Hantshatter (2).
GROUP B...Smudger (P)...Clappers (C)...Mrs.Hodgepodge...(1)...BraminghamRover (2)
GROUP C...Sollihullhatter (P)...YoungJeannie (C)...BloodOrange (1)...TopHatter86 (2)
GROUP D...HorshamHatter (P)...Lizard (C)...BiscotBoy (1)...Samsollihullhatter (2).
There will be three matches in the group stage starting with Birmingham at home, followed by Cardiff on the 8th of February and Charlton away on the 22nd of February.
The top two from each group will qualify for the quarter final and the winners of these will compete in the semi final to reach the final.
The draw for the QF will be:-
Winner Group A vs runner up Group B.
Winner Group B vs runner up Group C
Winner Group C vs runner up Group D
Winner Group D vs runner up Group A
The quarter finals will be Preston at home on the 14th of March.
The semi finals will be drawn from the QF winners
The semi final match will be Reading at home on the 4th of April.
The winners will compete in the final and that match will be Blackburn at home on the 02nd of May.
Scoring will be identical to the cup.
Correct score: 5 points
Correct result: 3 points (note: if you get the correct result then you get the 5 points and NOT 5+3 points).
Correct score at half time: 2 points
Correct result at half time: 1 point
A correct scorer: 1 point for each goal scored by a nominated player.
During the group stage there will be a bonus point for nearest the attendance. Ties in the final table of the group stage will be decided by whoever has the most full time correct scores, followed by most half time corrects scores followed by most full time correct results.
There are no replays in the knockout phases so in the event of each player scoring equal points, the tie goes directly to a penalty shootout, with the winner being the player whose attendance prediction is closest to the published attendance for that game.
Good luck and enjoy.
