Hello all, I’m writing this from my hospital bed so hoping no-one’s going to give me a hard time!
The Club have released next season’s kit sponsorship prices-£850 for a 1st team player- and of course we have first refusal on our current player, Glen Rea’s away shirt. Are you all happy to go with this? And up for raising £850?
If so, I’m not in a position to write my usual long introductory post but lots of you know the drill and maybe Lake or Wimbo could scroll back and link to last year’s to give the gist? Hoping hatter28 might be happy to take PayPal payments? And I’ll sort the finer details when I have access to my laptop.
Thanks everyone!

A quick summary of what’s involved
The loosely-connected group of posters currently using this messageboard have a long tradition of kit sponsorship, going back to the days of the BBC 606 boards (I’m sure hatter28 will be able to tell us whether this is the 9th or the 10th consecutive year of raising money for various sponsorships). Our past players have included Jake Howells, Steve McNulty, Nathan Doyle and Frankie Musonda, and following a quick poll a week or so ago, the Fools have collectively decided that this year our player should be Glen Rea, whose away kit is available for us to sponsor.
Kit sponsors are named in the matchday programme, on the relevant player page on the official site, and also over the PA if their player scores a goal at a home game. They are invited to watch one of the team’s training sessions during the autumn, receive a ticket to the end of season dinner, and of course are given their player’s shirt at the end of the season. Everyone who contributes to the sponsorship, whatever the amount, has an equal chance of being drawn out to enjoy one of these benefits.
Kit sponsorship this season costs £850, so that will be our initial target. We normally exceed the initial amount and in recent years have gone on to also sponsor a match and/or a youth player. A youth player sponsorship is just £200 but gives the same benefits as a first-teamer (training morning, dinner and shirt).
Anyone and everyone who’d like to be involved is welcome – past contributors and new ones, regular posters, Bobberman league players and lurkers. Everyone contributes as much as they can afford, £5, £10, £50 or even more … It all helps us reach the total we need.
How to contribute
1) PayPal: If you have a PayPal account, you can make a donation via hatter28’s PayPal account markstephenson237@hotmail.com and he’ll then pass on the whole amount he collects. When making your payment, select the “family or friends” option to avoid PayPal charging any fees. NOTE: will update once Mark confirms he is happy to again use PayPal for the 2019/20 season.
2) Internet transfer: If you do online banking and can transfer the money in that way, post on this thread or send me a PM. I’ve a little-used bank account which can be used to collect contributions until we get near our total, the details of which I shan’t post on the internet but which I will be delighted to send you on request.
3) Cash: If you attend matches, you’re welcome to give me the money in person. Let me know and I’ll make sure our paths cross. Holidays permitting, I may be able to catch you at a pre-season friendly or early in the new season. However, this is still a while away, so if you’re happy to tell me, it would be good to know in advance how much you’ll be planning to contribute, then I can allow for it in my calculations and collect the actual money in due course.
4) Cheque: if you don’t do electronic payments, and cash isn’t going to work for you, then please write a cheque made payable to Luton Town 2020 Ltd. Please also write “LTFCFool Sponsorship” on the back of the cheque. If this is your preferred method let me know and I will PM you my address to send it to.
5) If none of the above meets your needs and you still want to contribute, let me know and I’m sure we can work something out.
