We have an allocation of 1360 South Stand tickets and 497 West Stand tickets for our visit to the totally horrible ground of Stevenage with it's abysmal facilities, terrible stewarding and confused London overspill supporters; other than that, it should be a good day out. Just how did we convert such dominance last season and a winning position into a defeat? Link for tickets: www.lutontown.co.uk/news/2018/january/stevenage-ticket-news/Although Stevenage is a not the most attractive town, it does havea very good pub serving a whole range of decent quality real ales fairly c;ose to the ground: Our Mutual Friend.

I've bought a ticket but still deciding how to get there! How about Oakham to Peterborough then Peterborough to Stevenage?

I've bought a ticket but still deciding how to get there! Just in at the club shop. You'd have to be careful, though, in case your arrival coincided with Glenn Rae taking a shot.

And you could be in peril from above - several of Stephen O’Donnell’s crosses from last season have yet to re-enter the Earth’s atmosphere!

I’m generally enthusiastic about away games but this one presents problems for me It’s easy and probably fairly cheap to get to, so can’t use those excuses. I’ve never been to a game there so it would add to my list of visited grounds. It’s just the thought of going to a hugely unappealing place for what I envisage will be a bad tempered encounter both on, and possibly off, the pitch.
Are any other seasoned travellers experiencing the same symptoms?

I am going but after the last two visits have decided to go in the West Stand concessions and children only.It is slightly easier to get to than a Luton home game but to be honest I hope it's the last visit I'll be making there for a long time.

Thanks Shatter. Not exactly a Five Star Recommendation then!

As it is an old home town of mine I am going to be very brave and go. I am relying on you young more athletic guys to look after me!

I'll be giving this one a wide berth, and Cambridge - can't do them all!
My bank balance has taken a wallop following many away games and social trips in the last two months odd - Wimbledon - Cheltenham - Crewe (my mad Blackpool Coach Party Adair Travel All Inclusive weekender) - Gateshead (stayed the night in Newcastle) - Swindon - Port Vale - Newcastle (stayed the night in Hartlepool) and Chesterfield.
Saturday we are staying the night in Grimsby, then a break.
Missing Stevenage, going to Coventry (whenever it's played), missing Cambridge, staying the Friday night in Newport, going to Colchester, missing Yeovil and Carlisle, staying the night in Nottingham last game v County.

Assuming I don't take a few days holiday, the only one questionable for me is Yeovil as I don't much like either that journey or indeed the way over the top stewarding on entry to the ground. Last season whilst having the body search, I asked: "tell me, what have you found on people today"? The response, pointing to the quarantine bucket, was a bottle of perfume and an umbrella. I asked if it was a ricin-tipped Bulgarian umbrella: the steward simply stared rather blankly and let me pass.
