Apparently we've not beaten a top six team this season, tomorrows.match against runaway leaders could be tricky. But remember Bournemouth last year in the same position!? We drew at Turf Moor first away game of this season so all to play for. COYH! Clarets Trivia. When I first starting watching Luton around 1960 Burnley won the first Division Championship. I was intrigued by a young 18 year old player called Alex Elder who had just broken into their team. When I played in the park I was Alex Elder!!!😁.He's still going strong at 81! There’s little trivial about Burnley’s form this season as I fear we will discover later. V much enjoyed my visit up there earlier in the season where we held on for a point. Maatens was excellent that day he was for Coventry last season. Here’s to a stunning home win to confound our rivals COYH
Trivia On that trip, cycled past ‘The Royal Dyche’, a pub v close to Turf Moor. Will we see a ‘Dog and Jones’ in Luton at some point? 😁

I saw King Edwards in Sainsbury’s, so that’s a start.

For sure Greeno. If Burnley play like that in the Prem they'll be straight down again.

Enjoyed the game yesterday spoke to a neutral fan and he was impressed with our performance. Watched a bit of Vince Kompanys post match interview he said he doesn't like this top of the league stuff would rather it be called 21st in the football leagues. That makes us 24th sounds better than a few years ago when we were about 112th!

Three outstanding performances in eight days and only two points to show from them! There were, possibly, only 8-10 errors from us over those three matches with most of them happening at Coventry in the second half. I can only think of 3 errors vs PNE and Burnley, 2 of which resulted in penalties that could or may not have been awarded ... and even then I may be harsh in calling those "errors".
Our lads thoroughly outperformed my best expectations against Burnley and we were so unlucky having been designated an incompetent official who has a history with us - he simply enhanced his reputation. I can stand poor officials as long as they are poor to both teams in equal measures but there were so many (what people may say were minor) incidents that resulted in different decisions depending upon which colour kit was being worn. Two or three handballs that didn't go our way where very similar situations resulted in Burnley free kicks. Also, the reversal of a throw-in when Alfie crept up the touchline - yet no similar punishment for Burnley when they did the same thing with the same yardage gain.
Pelly was utterly brilliant - every blade of grass covered thrice by him. Shame we lost Drameh so early. Lockyer was superb until the clutch on his mouth failed and overruled his senses. Burke was Burke! Osho was solid and more than competent against a slick attacking front line - and so bloody unfortunate to be running back across the Burnley player for the penalty. I'm not sure why some fans took to various forums and had, IMO, misguided digs at Osho for costing us the match. Interestingly, Lockyer didn't get those same pelters from fans when he gave away a similar, harshly awarded penalty at PNE.
Unfortunately, to get to where we want in May will elude us if we are so profligate with very decent chances: and it's not as though they are only half-chances. We all know we cannot afford Championship proven strikers so we must also know that our front men will miss chances, probably better chances than many opposition forwards will get and convert. We are certainly making enough chances to gather wins so we will have to hope that Adebayo, Morris and Woodrow can become more clinical.
Given the absence of Lockyer at Brum, I hope Drameh and Alfie are both fit to keep their wing backs at the other end of the pitch. We will also need a CDM to watch for Chong's pacy runs through our middle. There were quite a number of times vs Burnley where Nakamba appeared to wander upfield in support of Clark and Pelly and the defence could have been exposed to any breakaways ... and there was me thinking that Marvelous had been brought in to play CDM in front of our CBs! That protection may be even more necessary with Lockyer AWOL.
COYH.

Had a brief chat with Joe Taylor's Grandad at full time on Saturday. He was down with Joe's family watching the match. He said Joe was going nowhere at Kings Lynn so was very grateful when Luton showed an interest. His Grandad said it was his first time at Kenilworth Road and he seemed very impressed with the performance.
