Town are away to another struggling team when we meet the "Throstles tomorrow afternoon. With Burke out for a while our central defence will need to be up for it. My first away game this season so looking forward to the game and a pre match meet up with some 'fools". See you at the bar! COYH!
WBA Trivia. The Hawthorns is the highest ground above sea level of all the Premier League and Football League clubs. Altitude 551 feet.

Two bits of trivia
What do you think of it so far? Many Town fans are familiar with the statue of Eric Morecambe located in his home town. It was the work of Graham Ibbeson, who also created the statue of the Albion’s ‘Three Degrees’ - Cyrille Regis, Laurie Cunningham and Brendon Batson - who helped to pave the way for black players in this country.
Highest ground? Having cycled to both the Hawthorns and Forest Green’s ground, I had a bit of a dig around and found this - A friend who is an FGR fan suggested a while ago that The New Lawn might be the highest UK league ground. I had a look and reckoned it was below the 168m of WBA. However, another friend pointed out that the height outside the Hawthorns was 164m on the OS map. I therefore got another friend to do a check using the Lidar data available that gives accurate levels. The result is that New Lawn is 164.3m and Hawthorns is only 163.1m. So New Lawn is definitely the highest ground - until FGR move!

what's that hanging down between the player on the right legs? I’d say that’s a foot.

Today will be my 1,938th Luton game attending and 678th Town away match.
I will either see my 833rd Hatters win, 505th draw or 602nd defeat. IMHO If Steve Bruce wants to keep his Baggies job as manager, it will need to be the latter 602nd loss.
This will be my 9th Hawthorns visit since the incredible 1974 Div Two 1-1 draw. Barry Butlin scored an early 5th min header to send 3,000 Hatters fans into absolute raptures. Although Tony 'Bomber' Brown equalised on 72 mins with a penalty & a few late anxious moments, we held on for the point needed to secure promotion to the top flight Div One - this coming just 7 years 5 months after my first Luton game - when we were 2nd bottom in Div FOUR!
I'd only returned home from living in Adelaide, Oz for two years with my family 9 days prior. This was the day after my 16th birthday and us teenage lads travelled by train on one of two glorious old LTFC Specials - £1.50 return!
The Atmosphere created by us Town fans that day is right up there and as good as ANY of the 677 away matches I've ever experienced.
The only time I've seen us beat Albion at the Hawthorns was a Div 1 Boxing Day fixture in 1985 in non stop driving rain, when the late Marc North RIP and Mick Harford secured us a 2-1 win.
I'm afraid all the other six clashes I've seen resulted in wins for WBA..........1-0 Div 2, 1975-76........1-0 Div 1, 1982-83...........a 4-0 Div 1 hammering in 1984-85........1-0 in 1994-95 Div One (old Div 2) ...........and two League Cup defeats, in 1997-98 losing 4-2 on the night, 5-3 agg, then my most recent visit in 2018-19 a narrow 1-0 League Cup 1 defeat.
I'm not in the best of health now sadly but can't/won't let folk down, so am just driving two friends straight to the game and back.
Head says a 2-2 draw, heart 2-1 Hatters.

There's a larger version of the picture on Outlaws. Sorry to disappoint, but it is clearly the left foot of the player in the middle.

I have a ticket for this game but after last weekend's Hull odyssey I wasn't quite up for another weekend of no trains, so I'll be listening to iFollow instead. I watched their game v Preston midweek and suspect it won't be as easy as their league position suggests. Our best tactic is possibly to keep it tight* and try and get their fans to turn. * so hopefully not giving away too many corners
