The Hammers are our opponents tomorrow in the last of the PSF. It should be a good workout for the team against a top Premiership side. Not sure when we last played them, hopefully LL will know. COYH!!

Just looked at the last time we played West Ham. March 94 ? 3-2 win in the cup. That long ago, surprised me.

A good game as far as PSF`s go and I thought we equipped ourselves well except for the final ball in outfield play. I really like the look of Alfie Doughty and on that showing pushes Bell out of that position. Horvath and the defence in general were solid And good cameos from Pereira and Morris. Roll on next Saturday.

7,000 for a friendly, can't be bad and we witnessed some proper joined up football with ball retention and precision passing in abundance, interestingly enough mostly in the right direction and not constantly backwards. Perhaps the chequer board pattern helped (see Photo), a Nathan cunning plan perhaps. Players of note for me were Clark, seemed to be back to his best, and nice to see Berry, what a surprise he appeared and he did very well. Cornick was a constant threat, Burke was outstanding and Osho I think will be a first pick. Horvath made one outstanding save and had no chance for the WH opener. One other worth a mention for his brief appearance is young Dion Pereira, a couple of very skillful touches, let's hope he can progress in the Championship. Doughty is an interesting one. On today's performance he looks good going forward but his defending and especially his positioning leave a tad to be desired. The WH No.5 on the right wing was their main danger mainly because he was given the freedom of the park. A good entertaining game, glad I attended.

Periera has really impressed me. I think he is better than CMG and Muskwe so should make the 25. He's done on a cold Tuesday night in Bradford after all. That corner for the goal was genius. Played well against Posh too. One small thing is he lacks that first yard to go past the tackler but more game time might see that matter less as his experience and confidence grows. Hopefully we have see him break through this year.

Thanks for the summaries, I had a rather surreal afternoon watching a cricket match in deepest Norfolk and at the same time trying to watch bits of the match on a dodgy phone. Saw the equalizer though a training ground routine by the looks of it. Sonny scores on tv again! Looking forward to Brum next week.

I agree with the comments made covering what was a very entertaining PSF; a very enjoyable summer's afternoon. Why can’t the football season run from say March/April through to December; much better than freezing your rear on a cold plastic heat on a cold winters day.
No idea what the contract situation is with Adebayo; hope he stays, such a great forward player: no more words are needed.
Alfie Doughty again looked very direct, fast and impressive and as a team, we need to cover any hole left behind by his forward runs in the way that the likes of Clarke cover Bree.
There seems to be a real hunger in the side especially when you remember this was a friendly: a couple of our young players would have been in trouble with the referee in a league game.
Pereira should IMO make the squad of 25; he really does have something to offer way ahead of CMG & Admiral, maybe that’s what regular first team football does when loaned out, so, let’s get these young fringe players playing and developing out on loan.
The lad rumoured to be joining from Canadian football was sitting about 3M from me; at least I am pretty sure that was him or his double.
I am very much looking forward to the season and as ever, the first target is 48 points on the board!

Until yesterday shatter, the last time we played West Ham (admittedly their Under 21 side) at Kenilworth Road was in 2017-18 Checkatrade Trophy 2, Luton 4 West Ham 0.......and the time previous to that was in 1996, pre season Julian James Testimonial - Luton 4 West Ham 2.

A pleasure to attend my first game of a 56th campaign following the mighty Hatters.
I was entertained with a good game of football against a Premiership side with basically a full first team out. Credit to the 1,500+ Hammers fans who sold out the Oak Road stand, great support for just a friendly.
Thought a draw was a fair result. West Ham's goal was a great header from a class move. It so happened to be my exact 500th Town draw now seen. The first way back in 1967, Div 4 Luton 0 Southport 0 in front of 6,903 - 107 short of yesterdays crowd!
My main personal Hatters plusse's were Jordan Clark (our MOTM for me), Adebayo - PLEASE don't sell him Luton! Alfie Doughty. Was also impressed with two of the subs who came on, Pereira and in particular Morris.
7,010 a good gate for a friendly.
So after an unbeaten pre season lets get off to a flier on Saturday when it matters - and we certainly OWE Birmingham City a performance!

A very good game for a PSF, thought the team were very "together".
