Huge match for us tomorrow when in form Forest come to Kenilworth Road. Agree with Wimbo and BMS on the shout box that after a fantastic season we may fall short owing to injuries. But don't write this group of players off who more often than not come back after defeat. COYH!! No Trivia from me today, but don't hold back if you have any Forest nuggets.

Today is my LTFC game attending no 1,923 and the 1,249th at Kenilworth Road. It will be the 16th time I'll have seen Forest at the shrine from 1971 - 2019.
Not a brilliant record I'm afraid against a side bang in form - just 3 Town home wins, five draws and 7 defeats.
Haven't the time to fully detail them all so will just write some of the stats etc. The stand out one for me, was the very first time I saw Forest at Kenilworth Road in 1971:
1971 FA Cup 3 Replay Luton 3 ( Malcolm Macdonald 3) NFFC 4 Att: 23,483 -
After deservedly holding struggling Div 1 side Forest to a 1-1 at my first of 8 (to date) City Ground visits when Malcolm Macdonald broke a goal frame. Until then Forest were battering us and one up, but the delay galvanised us. Mac equalised on 70 mins and we eagerly awaited the midweek replay. Alas it was postponed with a frozen pitch due to the heavy freezing winter that year. The following week a fantastic expectant crowd of 23,000 + turned up and saw a THRILLER. Peter Cormack gave the visitors a 17th min lead, before Mac equalised just as he did in the original tie, only this time just 3 mins later. With both sides going all out attack the only surprise was there were no further first half goals. In the 2nd half two Forest goals in a minute on 65 & 66 mins by Collier and Richardson looked like it was too much for Town and we were heading for an exit with no 4th round home tie v Orient to look forward to. Then my all time favourite Hatter not only pulled one back just a minute later with a penalty - but six mins from time made it 3-3 with his 4th of 5 Town hat tricks. The atmosphere was now at Fever point and Extra Time beckoned with Luton definitely having momentum and in the ascendancy.................HOWEVER a mere 3 mins from time Roger Hoy RIP was dispossessed of the ball on the halfway line and Ronnie Rees ran through to make it 3-4. We were out, but what a brave valiant effort and to this day, still one of THE best Kenny night atmospheres I've ever experienced.
1975-76 Div 2 Luton 1 ( Ron Futcher) NFFC 1 Att: 8,503
1976-77 Div 2 Luton 1 ( Colin Barrett o.g) NFFC 1 Att: 11,231
1982-83 Div 1 Luton 0 NFFC 2 Att: 12,648
1983-84 Div 1 Luton 2 (Paul Walsh, Meka Nwajiobi) NFFC 3 Att: 12,126
1984-85 Div 1 Luton 1 (David Moss pen) NFFC 2 Att: 10,156
1985-86 Div 1 Luton 1 ( Brian Stein) NFFC 1 Att: 11,318 - Brian Stein made history by scoring the very first goal on Luton's new artificial pitch
1986-87 Div 1 Luton 4 ( Mark Stein 2, Steve Foster, Brian Stein) NFFC 2 Att: 11,097 - Town blitzed Forest racing into a 3-0 lead after just 16 mins
1987-88 Div 1 Luton 1 ( Mal Donaghy) NFFC 1 Att: 9,108 - The fantastic top class Mal gave us a 5th min lead with his 21st and final LTFC goal
1988-89 Div 1 Luton 2 ( Mick Harford, Kingsley Black) NFFC 3 Att: 10,465
1989-90 Div 1 Luton 1 ( Richard Cooke - his only LTFC goal) NFFC 1 Att: 9,108
1990-91 Div 1 Luton 1 ( Iain Dowie) NFFC 0 Att: 9,577 - 'Rocket Man's' 19th and final LTFC goal before being the latest Hatter sale (to West Ham)
1993-94 Div 1 ( old Div 2) Luton 1 ( John Hartson) NFFC 2 Att: 9,788
2007-08 League 1 ( old Div 3) Luton 2 ( Chris Perry (his only LTFC goal), David Bell) NFFC 1 Att: 8,524
2019-20 Championship ( old Div 2 ) Luton 1 ( Callum McManaman) NFFC 2 Att: 10,053.

Well that has got to be the best performance by a team ever seen at Kenilworth Road. Talk of a never say die attitude to a man, scores on the doors 11 out of 10, fantastic.
I think the Forest players and management probably watched the Villarreal vs Man City game in the week, they successfully duplicated the thuggery and referee intimidation. No effect on our lads though, they gave it back in spades.
Difficult, if not impossible to pick a man of the match but I'll go for Campbell, never stopped running and covered every blade of grass and gave a performance that the Black Watch would have celebrated in battle.

Agree entirely Liz. The Bell/ Onyedimna combination against their speed Kings Spence and Johnson worked perfectly. Great atmosphere and a ref who looked like he had money on Forest to go up.

An utterly incredible performance by one and all. Nobody shied out of tackles/headers, everyone that started was completely knackered at the end ... we could not have asked any more from them, especially given the temperature.
Neither GK had masses of goal bound work to save as the majority of the play was between the boxes as both teams nullified each other. The most pleasing aspect for me being the way we handled their quarterback midfielder (Garner) and main chance creator (Brennan).
The noise in the main stand at the end was several decibels greater on anything else this season - the result really meant that much but the crowd was inspired by the players' efforts and willingness to play for the shirt.
Hard to identify any individuals a such a dedicated team but must mention Fred for his work without the ball - his covering, tackling and awareness allowed him to keep Brennan shackled. One Forest breakaway from our corner meant Fred chasing after the ball down the centre of the pitch (not on a wing) - the speed he showed in that one instance was astounding ... what I've give to see that at the other end with him charging towards the opposition goal!
Now I've mentioned one, there's another! Snodgrass. TBH, I wondered what we'd let ourselves in for when he played a couple of cameo roles from the bench but his continuous talking and cajoling of team mates (including our captain) reminded me of McCormack. Plus, Snodgrass' set piece deliveries were, in general, top drawer.
And another! Reece Burke - he is missed as much as Berry and Clark when he's unavailable. Burke seems to be blessed with greater anticipation than most so he knows where to position himself.
All of that noted, I think that I must have been at a different match after reading Cooper's post-match comments. He couldn't muster a single word to acknowledge that his players knew they'd been in a proper game of football. As for him accusing the referee that errors cost his team the game, maybe he should have another look at the incompetency and inconsistency of the middle official with regard to the decisions that went against Luton. Some of our bookings were bordering on laughable, especially when similar misdemeanours by Forest players were unaccompanied by yellow cards. Given the sea of yellow cards, it was inevitable that someone was going to get a red - I'm just surprised a second red wasn't brandished in our direction.
Speaking to a mate last night about how this team somehow drags itself up by the bootstraps when adversity is about to strike. Thankfully we don't appear to have any passengers in the whole squad and the "all-for-one and one-for-all" mentality is fantastic to witness.
COYH.

Absolutely delighted to see my 830th LTFC win and only my 4th home win v Forest in 51 years and 16 clashes!
One of those special Kenny stand out days played in front of a great atmosphere. Not one player had a poor game. My stand outs were our 3 Scots Naismith, Snodgrass and my MOTM Campbell. Sadly can't make Cardiff tomorrow so it will be Kenilworth Road match no 1,250 for me next v Blackpool on Saturday.

I had lunch with my Fulham-supporting godson yesterday. As a fairly hard-to-please neutral watching on Sky he reckoned the game was brilliant entertainment, and was very impressed by Campbell and also by Amari'i Bell. He's a bit annoyed, too, that Fulham let Adebayo get away! Snodgrass was one of my standouts - getting stuck in and organising and cajoling everyone, and doing it all with the biggest smile on his face. He was obviously having the time of his life
